Have you noticed anything about all the trees that fell down during our
100 mph wind storm? They were all pine trees (and their conifer cousins). Pines have very shallow root systems. If you have any next to your house, you should seriously consider preemptively cutting them down. Here's a tree that wanted to say hello to Jeff's jeep during the
