| We are both fans of the Harry Potter movies in general, but neither of us enjoyed The Half-Blood Prince. We found it to be disjointed and almost pointless. The central plot, which is that Harry must retrieve a memory from a professor to learn something important about Voldemort, is revealed late in the movie and is resolved shortly thereafter. Everything else seems random. The entire movie could have been compressed into 20 minutes, and would have served as a good beginning to a movie about Harry actually doing something with the knowledge he gains. We guess that's what the next movie is about.

I just saw the movie this weekend--had to deliberate after reading your review. The movie is not materially different than the book (it could have been written in 100 pages and not lost much). 7 should be better!
