Previously, on Dropping Comcast Cable, we learned that an over-the-air signal is a billion times better than cable. But you record shows and need a DVR, you say? Add one TV tuner card to a computer with a generous helping of hard drive space, and viola, you have a DVR. But you want to watch shows on a TV and not a computer, you say? Add one X-Box 360 and connect to TV and computer. (Caution: This may involve drilling holes in your house to lay ethernet cable.) The media on your computer is now accessible on your TV through the X-Box and Windows Media Center. What a great excuse to buy an X-box 360 way to record and watch TV! No, that is not Halo 3 on top of the X-box. We totally did not just finish it on easy, and we are also not working our way through normal. We especially don't ever enjoy slayer mode. We got the X-box 360 to watch recorded TV. Got it? TV.
