Yep. Now that AI is done with the drama and into the Top 12, er, 13, you get our amateur opinion each week. This week: songs from Michael Jackson. Hmmm.

Most memorable: David Cook's performance of Billie Jean. Almost an entire year ago and still a million billion times more memorable that anything from yesterday.

Most notably absent: Ricky Braddy. Not in the Top 13 because he was kept invisible during auditions and Hollywood Week, and not among the judges' anointed few due to lack of one or more of the following: tragic back story/work on oil rig/blindness/dopey corniness/drama/attraction/whatever it is that makes the judges like someone no matter how crappy their singing is.

Actual Top 13 contestant we liked: Megan, for being unique and non-karaoke. Of course the judges didn't like her.

Everyone else: Meh.

Please get rid of: Anoop, Jorge.

Thing we're afraid of: "Twist in the rules" making it more likely that the winner is whoever the judges like the most.
