--President Obama won three counties in Utah: Salt Lake County, Summit County (Park City), and Grand County (Moab).

--One of Utah's three representatives in the U.S. House is a Democrat, Jim Matheson, who was most recently re-elected with 63% of the vote, despite Republican attempts to gerrymander him out of office.

--The Mayor of Salt Lake City has been a Democrat since 1975. The current mayor, Ralph Becker, won with 65% of the vote.

--The Mayor of Salt Lake County is a Democrat, Peter Corroon, who won 66% of the vote.

--Almost 40% of Utah's population lives in Salt Lake County.

--Our neighborhood is represented by Democrats in both the Utah Senate and Utah House. On election day, we counted 17 Obama signs and 1 McCain sign in our neighborhood.
