Prior to this year, we didn't have too many orchids that bloomed in the summer. This one is called Lynch's River, a cross that nobody has seen before besides us and you faithful blog readers. It was grown from seed eight years ago, and this is its first flower. You never know what you'll get when you cross orchids, so we are pleasantly surprised by the results.
