When it comes down to it, you really can't compare the two Davids -- the one you like more just depends on the kinds of music you prefer. So we'll just say that our favorite performances were "In this Moment" from David A, and "The World I Know" from David C. What struck us about David A's first two performances was that his voice seems to have matured four years since last week. Good for him. And kudos to David C for picking a new song for his third choice instead of the traditional "repeat your favorite past performance" thing. Simon, we love you, but you're wrong on this one. If we wanted to hear a repeat performance, we'd go to iTunes.

Whoever wins deserves it. We suspect, however, that they both might be better off if David A wins. He could probably use Idol's help more in producing an album, while David C will probably do better being able to retain more control of his own.
