Jeff recommends... 3:10 to Yuma. Website and trailer here. Watching Batman Begins a few weeks ago prompted Jeff to say "Christian Bale should be in more movies," so we threw 3:10 to Yuma in our Netflix queue. Even if you don't like Westerns, give this one a shot. There are the obligatory shoot-outs (barrels included), but the story and characters carry the film. Also starring Russell Crowe as the bad guy.
Konnor recommends... Angel-A. If you like foreign films (or are willing to try one), this one is well worth your time. Beautifully shot in black and white, Angel-A relies on the skills of the actors to create an original and engaging plot. In French (with subtitles).
