Cedar Waxwings love the crab apple tree in our backyard. In fact, according to the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, waxwings sometimes get drunk from eating fermented fruit. Note the "waxy" yellow tips of the tail feathers. We wish these birds were around all year, but they hang out here only in the winter.
