It has been raining steadily here all day long. Our East Coast readers are probably thinking, "uhh, so?" Believe it or not, day-long rain is very weird here. Our rain gauge (or, if you insist, GladWare plastic container) has collected over an inch already, which according to the Weather Channel is more than we usually get in the entire month of June. Here's a picture of our "dry" creek bed. There's no liner under there -- it's just raining faster than our soil can soak it up. Looks like we got our new bridge just in time.
P.S. Yesterday's high: 91. Current temperature: 43.
