For those of you who may be sad about Melinda Doolittle, consider these facts about last season's American Idol:
Taylor Hicks, winner, can't breathe without permission of American Idol producers, albums sold: 667,000.
Chris Daughtry, non-winner, can do whatever he wants, albums sold: 2.5 million.
We think Melinda will do as well as Chris.

I loved Melinda but you are so right! Another point - The young kids are the ones that vote early and often. My 10-20 votes for Melinda couldn't compete.
Our couple hundred votes didn't help either. Our cell phones are set up nicely to redial numbers over and over without even having to look at the phone. And since we're in the bizarro time zone, almost all of our calls go through. Waiting for album...
