We were always planning to give the ducklings to Gabe and Amber, who gave us the parents and who have a bird-raising business, but now we've decided to give back Mr. and Mrs. Duck as well. The ducks make the pond water too polluted for fish to live, and we need fish to eat the mosquito larvae off the water's surface. Plus, the ducks liked to eat our water lillies and hyacinths. We very much enjoyed having the ducks visit, and we know they will be happy with other ducks in a big enclosure where nothing will try to eat them. And don't worry -- these are show ducks, so no people are going to eat them either.
