
The last of the winter-blooming orchids. This is a cattleya named Gambel's Giant, and it really is giant. It's a hybrid of two other orchids, but the person who developed it (Gambel) never told anyone which two varieties he crossed to make it. There are probably fewer than fifty of these in the world, but more could always be cloned. Did you know that most orchids you see on the market are clones?
