Witches, communists, and now terrorists. You never know when one might be hiding around the next corner. Consider the case of Jim Bensman. In Alton, Illinois, the Army Corps of Engineers held a public discussion about a local dam and its problematic effects on migratory fish. Mr. Bensman’s solution: tear out the dam. The Army Corps’ response: report Bensman to the FBI as a possible terrorist threat. According to the Army Corps representative, "We’re not going to debate whether this is oversensitivity or undersensitivity…there’s probably a lower threshold after 9/11."
