An article in the Salt Lake Tribune reports that at Northwest Middle School in Salt Lake City, kids who are reading at grade level will receive the traditional textbooks, while kids who are reading below grade level will receive versions with easier vocabulary and more pictures. According to one teacher, "We don't dumb things down for the kids. We make things accessible.” You say accessible, we say dumb.
