In October 2005, we took a trip to upstate New York. We flew into Rochester and enjoyed a scenic drive to the Inn at Glenora on Lake Seneca. We were a little early for the fall color, but it was quite beatiful anyway. The Inn was fantastic -- here is a photo looking over the Glenora Vineyards and Lake Seneca taken from the patio of our room.
And here we are enjoying some wine on the patio.

Later that day we hiked along a series of waterfalls at Watkins Glen State Park, at the southern tip of Lake Seneca.

We spent a lot of the second day on winery tours up and down Lake Seneca and Lake Cayuga. We probably sampled about 100 different wines.

We also visited Taughannock Falls...

took a tour of Cornell University where Jeff went to school...

and encountered some white deer...

On Day 3 we had our flight home in the afternoon, but thought we might try to get to Niagra Falls first. We were a little worried about time, but we made it. Here is a picture of Niagra falls, and a picture Jeff insisted on taking to prove to westerners that squirrels are supposed to be fat with big bushy tails.
